Title: Full of Noises – Remote Possibilities, 2009-2015

Full of Noises – Remote Possibilities, is a document of the first four editions of the Cumbria based Full of Noises festival covering the years 2009-2015. The publication include photography, essays and reflections from a range of sound artists, composers and musicians that have taken part in residencies, commissions and other projects during the festival’s lifetime. This initial run of 50 copies was produced as part of a fundraising campaign in late 2016.

Full of Noises is a biennial festival founded in 2009, taking place in sites of architectural and acoustic interest around the post-industrial town of Barrow-in-Furness. Starting life in the former canteen building of a Trident submarine plant, the festival has hosted artists ranging from Faust, AGF, Hildur Gudnadottir and Tetsuo Kogawa to Laura Cannell, Lee Patterson, Lee Gamble and Ryoko Akama. Touring events have taken place with venues and partners including Cafe OTO, Liverpool Biennial, Beacons Festival and National Trust Castles in the Lake District.
